| Upcoming Programs: April 30th: The Wiggans Patch Massacre. Loretta Murphy will speak about the tragic story…the Margaret O’Donnell story…an Irish widow who lived there 130 years ago. You will want to hear about the tragic chain of events that occurred around 3 AM the morning of December 10th, 1875… May 28th: Genealogy Workshop Jean Dellock will conduct a workshop on the basics of genealogy research. The resources available in all county locations for those researching their Schuylkill County families will be presented. Dellock has been involved in County genealogy and history for over 25 years. She has been on the Board of the Historical Society of Schuylkill County since it moved into their present quarters and assisted in cataloging their genealogy collection. The public is invited. Light refreshments will be served. |
