Join author Jeffery Payne for a short discussion and Q&A session about his new book, Marooned: The Rise, the Fall, and the Redemption of the NFL’s Pottsville Maroons. There will be a book signing and meet and greet afterwards.

Jeffery Payne is a software executive by day and a football researcher and hobbyist by night. During the past 15 years, he has assembled one of the world’s greatest collections of vintage football items. He specializes in all things related to the Pottsville Maroons, Jim Thorpe, Red Grange, early professional football, and 1800s college football. He is a senior contributing writer for Gridiron Greats Magazine, a guest host for the Gridiron Greats podcast, has written dozens of blogs on football history, and is a guest on many football history podcasts. Mr. Payne is a member of the Professional Football Researchers Association (PFRA) and helps organize PFRA events in the Washington DC/Baltimore area.
